USANA, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and HealthCorps® have joined forces to further the shared mission of fighting teenage obesity. Through this partnership, USANA is lending a helping hand to an organization committed to dealing with one of the most pressing health issues in the United States.
The partnership is a natural fit, with HealthCorps and USANA having a shared interest in making the world a healthier place. HealthCorps was founded in 2003 by heart surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz and his wife, Lisa. The organization works on three priorities—educating students through in-school programs, creating FitTowns through community outreach, and advocating policy shifts on national, state, and city levels that put health and physical education back into the core curriculum in the United States. HealthCorps has been successful, establishing in-school educational programs in 14 states since their founding.
USANA has found another organization that shares the vision of people taking charge of their health. USANA was founded on a vision—as was HealthCorps—and that strong sense of shared mission makes this a powerful collaborative effort representing a strong commitment to health and wellness for both organizations.
USANA, Dr. Oz, and HealthCorps continue to leverage their resources and experience to maximize the impact this partnership is having on the lives of teens, providing the education and support they need to fight obesity one community at a time.
